Trianeira is a piece composed by José María Gallardo del Rey and dedicated to one of the living beings I’ve loved the most and who has given me the most love: “my little dog Triana.” Those of you who feel this kind of affection for an animal will understand me. One summer, years ago, Triana came with me to Galicia, and amid cuddles and humming, the Andalusian-Celtic title came to me. The piece conveys tenderness and affection, along with certain dissonances reminiscent of a puppy’s playful nature. With a free structure, it features three soundscapes.
