Joaquín Rodrigo Joaquín Rodrigo composed it for guitar in the summer of 1938. The title means "In the wheat fields" “This work could be interpreted not only as a vivid evocation of the summer landscape, but also as a homecoming song in which the Spanish national instrument suddenly became one of Rodrigo's most intimately expressive voices.” It was dedicated to the guitarist Narciso Yepesand premiered by Regino Saínz de la Maza.
